My Boro Jethu passed away this afternoon. He was my father's eldest brother. 86 years of age and old enough to be my grandfather. He led a full life and was in agony this past one month. The suffering is over now.
He was a good man.
Goodbye Jethu. Duggaa, Duggaa...Shanti, Shanti.

Sorry to hear this. No matter how old it is really sad when a loved one passes away...I miss every single person who was a part of my life who is now gone...sadly even two young friends who passed away too early in life. But the good thing when a person is 86 and dies is that you know at least he led a good life and hopefully died feeling happy leaving behind a family in good shape also...there are much less unfortunate ones (like Desi girl who wrote about her little cousin) who leave too soon and leave behind a family in abject sorrow...
Hugs Mamma-mia...
May his soul rest in peace, and may the family be sustained by good memories. Hugs, dear.
Hugs M4. Condolences to you and your family.
My dear friends,
I am overwhelmed by your kindness and condolences.
It was a happy release. This past one month was agony for him. In that sense, my father is coping well.
The sad thing is, because of distances and circumstances, I did not know him as well as I would have liked. It was more through my father's stories of him. I am grateful though, that these past 3-4 years, we have met on various occasions. He was always very warm towards me.
Seeing him there on Sunday...something in me felt like it was drowning.
Once again, thank you all.
condolences to you and your family. take care.
