The blurb ob by blob...

My photo
Mother, writer and daydreamer. Also chocoholic and chick-flick lover. But mainly mommy. To two boys, at that! When not escorting my Elder One (EO) to karate class, I'm trying to get in as many cuddles as possible from my Younger One (YO). And when not doing either, I'm hard-at-work trying to maintain a steady relationship with my laptop. And as for the Man I Married (MIM), well, let’s just put it this way – even though we share a bedroom, our most meaningful conversations are held over the cell-phone!

This is me.

Are you a mommy? I am. Twice over. And guess what? I just loooooooovvvvvvveeeeee being a mommy. But I crib about it. Sometimes a lot. But don't we all?

Once upon a time I used to write. A lot. And most of it poetry. And good poetry, mind you, even if I do say so myself. I would occasionaly come up with crap, but most of the time...it was goshdarnit! good stuff. Then it all suddenly stopped. No word, no thoughts, no grammer. Zilch.

I thought I had reached creative menopause. I churned out three lovely pieces before, during (Well sort of during...it was actually the night before the 'during') and after my elder son's birth. And then nothing for a while. When sudenly, six months later, I started writing again! And not poetry...prose! Actually prose! I know that after pregnancy, our bodies go through a lot of changes, I guess our creative process does too! Flowing words linked to flowing mammaries? Why not? After all, they're both part of big creative processes, right?

Anyway, I'm not going to inflict my poetry on you. There are enough poetry sites on the wierd and wonderful WWW where I can do that. So here, I won't.

Here, from time to time, whenever my boys can spare me for ten seconds, I'm going to talk aout mommydom and wifedom and daughterdom and...oh, you get the picture!

And I'm a mommy who loves her babies to the high seven heavens and beyond! But I also swear (Yes, I say 'fuck' a lot, but mostly in my head), I swipe ciggies from my hubby, and I also lose my temper a lot.

So this ride may be smooth at times, tempestuous at times, or just frickin' boring at times. So you stand warned.

Now having said all that, thank you for coming. And reading!
